The Formula MSG 3 is the first bacterial activator in Indonesia that can make a compost fermentation process in a short time that is only 1-2 days. Bacteria from the Formula MSG 3 were discovered by Triyono Heri Susanto from Brebes – Central Java. Formula MSG 3 consists of activator bacteria and supplements, Formula MSG 3 activator uses anaerobic bacteria. Therefore the manufacturing process must be exposed to sunlight and air to speed up the composting process.

Supplements contained in the Formula MSG 3 as food ingredients for these bacteria to be able to do the fermentation process. In addition to these two main ingredients, agricultural lime is also needed as a living medium for the MSG 3 bacteria.

The function of Formula MSG 3 is :

1. To processing livestock waste, agricultural waste, plantation waste, and garbage into compost within 1-2 days.
2. Sterilization of cattle pens, fish ponds, bins, etc.
3. To break the fly’s life cycles and repel flies.
4. The processing organic waste so it does not smell and can immediately become compost.
   How to make Formula MSG 3 solution
   Equipment: water tank size of 200 liters of water and stirrer
   Ingredients: 50 grams of activator powder, 50 grams of supplement powder, 2.5 kg of agricultural lime, and 200 liters of water.

Making process

Put 2.5 kg of lime into a water tank and soak with 200 L of water, wait until the lime settles
Separate limestone deposits with water from the lime bath
Put 50 grams of activator and 50 grams of supplement into the lime water
Stir until the blended and the Formula MSG 3 is ready to use

Make compost from livestock manure

1. Flatten cattle dung in the field with a thickness of 10 cm
2. Enter the Formula MSG 3 solution into the sprayer
3. Spray or sprinkle the Formula MSG 3 solution evenly
4. Dry the compost 2-3 hours to dry
5. When dry, turn over cattle dung and spray again
6. Repeat steps 3-5 until the media changes color and does not smell
7. If the manufactured process in the morning until the evening exposed to sunlight, in the day compost ready to used and be packed

Breaking the fly’s life cycle or repelling flies

1. Spray the Formula MSG 3 solution on the fly’s nest
2. Allow a few hours for the Formula MSG 3 to react
3. Spray again if the pungent odor still felt and flies are still there
4. Repeat in 2 days

Making compost from straw

First, straw is decomposed by soaking water for 2 weeks in the fields.

1. Put the rotten straw on the ground
2. Spray the rotten straw with MSG 3 solution to evenly
3. Dry straw 2-3 hours, if it rains cover with tarpaulin
4. After dry, turn the straw then spray again and let it dry
5. Repeat steps 2-4 until the straw turns brown

Making compost from organic waste

1. Prepare organic waste
2. Blend organic waste with a crusher
3. After smooth, dry the trash in the field with a thickness of 10cm
4. Spray rubbish with the MSG 3 Formula solution evenly
5. Dry the rubbish 2-3 hours, if it rains cover with tarpaulin
6. After drying, turn over the trash then spray again and let it dry
7. Repeat steps 4-6 until the organic waste turns brown
